Setting Up Site Search
AironFlow Search is an embedded product search that attaches to your storefront's existing search box — it understands Greeklish, typos, partial words (as-you-type), and even natural language questions.
AironFlow Search is available from the Starter plan and up.
The 3-step guide
On the Settings → Search page you'll find a 3-step guide:
Enable — turn on the "Enable" toggle to show the search panel on your site. The status line below shows whether the widget is already installed (green) or something's missing (amber) — e.g. if you haven't embedded the AironFlow widget on your site yet.
Test — type a search term and click "Test search" to see real results from your own index. If the index is empty or stale, click "Reindex now" first.
Results page — add the snippet
<div data-af-search-results></div>to your storefront's search-results page (e.g./search-results), enter its URL in the field, and click "Check page" to confirm everything is wired up correctly.
If your site already loads the AironFlow widget (e.g. for content or chat), no extra integration is needed for search — only the results-page snippet.
Listen mode
If you're not ready to fully enable search yet, you can turn on listen mode only. It captures what visitors search for in your EXISTING search bar — with zero visible change for them — so you can see the demand before deciding. This data shows up in the Search dashboard as "native" searches.
Advanced settings
The "Advanced" section lets you configure:
- Search input CSS selector — leave blank for auto-detection.
- Product URL template — a fallback URL when your feed doesn't provide one.
- Blog feed URL — to also surface blog posts in results.
- Merchandising — out-of-stock handling (demote or hide) and synonyms.

After any change to your catalog (new products, prices, stock), the index refreshes automatically after the next feed sync. To see changes immediately, click "Reindex now".
